FOUND THE CAR NOW NEED IT CHECKED.

We used AA.

They do all checks - finance and mech.

Phoned on a Saturday they whanted to do it sunday.
Engineer phoned back on site. Had written comprehensive report in post.
I think it was about £200. But needed ramps. Aparantly their gear is to big for a TVR.

You could take it to TVR dealer, Waldonway (sp) at larkfield

Fernhurst did it for me. Very detailed. £80. Needed car at their site though, but prospective seller was happy to take it himself as he was keen to sell.

I'd second David Batty, and when you buy one, get him to service it too. I've used a few other TVR shops between Maidstone and Guilford and Mr Batty has provided a noticably better service. I'm not saying the others were bad ... he is just bloody good. I'm now up in North London, but still make time to get the car down to him.
