FLASH WIPE!!!

Hi,

I've just found a new & novel way to make my wipers do a half wipe and stop dead in the middle of the screen! - by flashing the high beam...

Fortunately, actually switching the wipers on does return them...

Answers on a postcard before my service on Friday would be much appreciated - thanks

Bible 2 has been out about 9 months - blue Chimaera cover and the words second edition are the giveaway.
See section on wiper problems and earthing points. Around page 260 ish.

Is that why, in my ageing BMW, when I put the headlights on I subsequently get lots of false warnings telling me various lamps have failed - when they haven't?

Spot on Steve - Drum4it2, the section starts on p259. It's probably the self park earth circuit. Another little job for PR Woods tomorrow! Ask them to check your main earth under the rad when they replace it.

On the VW transporter T4 vans If you have the lights on and flash the lights you can operate the heater blower and the wipers !
