Here are my Azev 17 inch wheels. I quite like the angular look to them, nothing over the top and I like the colour.
They are 7.5 all round, can anyone tell me if I should use spacers to get the original offset.
I don't really understand this offset lark, and yes I'm a bit thick

Tell me what offset they are, and I can help. It may be stamped inside the wheel, ET and two digits...
They are ET30. I had to measure them before I sold them because it wasn't stamped on them. Frankly, I wouldn't bother to fit spacers. I regularly use ET38 wheels all round with 5mm spacers, which brings them down to ET33, and they are fine. I would leave them alone.
Obviously you have the option to fit 5mm spacers on the front. This will make the fronts ET25. There is nothing you can about the rears - the ET number is how many mm the wheels are inset into the wheel arch from if the centre line of the wheel were against the face of the hub. So spacers will only bring the wheel further out, hence reducing the offset.
To go from ET30 to ET33 you would need to grind 3mm off the wheel''s inner face!

The standard chimaera offsets are ET 25 front and ET33 rear. The later cars had ET33 all round.

Thanks to Mark and Anthony for that, I get it now, I think. Frankly, I wouldn't bother to fit spacers. I regularly use ET38 wheels all round with 5mm spacers, which brings them down to ET33, and they are fine. I would leave them alone.

Could anyone tell me what models those 17 inch Ford RS 7 spokes were fitted to?
Thanks
Don't think they were ever a ''standard' fit to anything, they were just an RS option on things like Escort RS Turbos and RS Capris. Thanks
