Has anyone ever managed to get film of a Griff in a wind tunnel?

Does anyone have access to one?

Some people with standard cars report a light front end at speed, others don't. Why?
I don't know, but could it be rake ?? or pies wink

Light front end at speed is typical of lift due to air pressure build up under the front of the car. That air will spill out of the sides and if the ride height is set right the under car volume increases towards the rear so lift at the back is unlikely.

The angle of the splitter is crucial. To shallow and it will create a small localised pressure boundary close to the bodywork. This will allow air to pass underneath. To large an angle and the pressure boundary will collapse spilling itself under the car.

I would be very interested in seeing a wind tunnel image at different splitter angles. I have seen everything from 20deg to 60deg from the horizontal. The extremes look wrong. Most are set at around 30deg.

Back to the original subject, here's mine, from ACT, it does make a difference in reducing high speed lift.

It's one off that someone else had bespoke made but never used.

You are welcome to take a mould though.

Didn't have one and fitted an after market one( under the nose of the car in front of the wheels)
Have to be extra careful over speed bumps but has added great front end stability and feels much more planted at high speeds

LIP SPOILER (GR10)

Fits the Griffith, Chimaera and the Cerbera. Helps with downforce and cooling. Take a look under your car... If you can't see one, then you need one.

Careful. When you add a splitter you increase front downforce and upset the front rear balance. The rear will become light especially under turn in at speed. See my youtube clip jes firth Tvr griffith 500 castle Combe 2012 and you will see what a big splitter does. http://youtu.be/dNUBTQ0bLZE

That looked quite nerve racking. I for one do not blame you for coming in after two laps.

Thx, was quite liking some of that on the front, especially if it were going to be functional. But the rear of that car....not my cuppa tea at all. Never went that far in my 350Z, and that was a Veilside special!
