Rosso Pearl Paint
Discussion
I have a small scratch (on the chimaera) that would benfit from a quick touch up with some rosso pearl paint. I would prefer to use an aerosol can, but where can I get one from.
I have checked the archives for any record of where to get rosso pearl paint from but could only find the paint code for rosso pearl (R2815-2).
Does anybody know where to get a rosso pearl aerosol can from. Is there an equivalent from one of the Big Boy car manufacturers.
Thanks in advance.

Try the automotive/industrial paint suppliers who supply the bodyshops.
They can usually match-up / make-up any colour and can supply small quantities in aerosol cans.
They also use better quality paints than the usual car accesory dealer.
To find them look under 'paint and varnish suppliers' in the yellow pages or sometimes 'auto factors'
It may be better to buy a cheap airbrush (10ukp from machine mart). This will give you better results than a can will. It will aslo allow you to spray a much thinner line than a can - although you will need to blend the new colour in afterwards. Reds fade over time so your new paint will probably be slightly darker than the existing paint.
You'll also need laquer if you going to spray colour coat. !Warning! - avoid cheap laquer at all costs - if you don't want a cloudy finish. Again it's best to get this from the bodyshop suppliers than the accesory shops and do not spray on a damp day.
