Hi,

I have a n early Chim with the black rimmed dials. Does anybody know or already tried to sand polish the black off. Or are there any alloy replacements available - can't see any from Leven

Thanks
Lee

I have been told that they can be polished on a Griff, so I assume the Chim is similar. However, I was warned that the clock may come up brass underneath the paint rather than silver.

Spoke to Leven last week when i ordered my new Stainless Dash and i was amazed at how many different dials there are in the Chim.

Mine is a late 1995 with the Alloy surrounds and apparently they are called 'Karebont' (not sure about spelling) dials.

Anyway, the point of this is that they are slightly different sizes so be careful if you purchase some others as you might have to change the Dash surround as well to accomodate them.
