I see Peninsula are offering a chassis protection deal where they steam-clean off any old waxoyl, have a bit of a scrape at any loose bits of plastic coating, and then re-waxoyl. £75 or so.

Any thoughts on the wisdom of steam-cleaning a TVR chassis?

What about then waxoyling what must be a wet bit of metal straight away?

PS. Mine's a 4 yr old Chimaera, 37000 miles, and virtually all the coating's come off the tubular bits - the wishbones are pretty good though. Dunno why that should be.

So what happened to the chassis protection process in between the steam clean and the waxoyl? i.e. paint protection!
Does this get done as well? If not why bother.
