I'd say that unless you HAVE to get rid of the car then hold out for your price, but price it realistically ... I had mine up for too much at first and hence got no enquiries at all. I wasn't desperate to sell but ideally did need to have the car gone before winter really due to our garage being used for storing some other stuff. But there was no way I was literally going to give it away as I could always have garaged it elsewhere if I really had to.

After two months of no responses I dropped the price quite a lot but perhaps to a more realistic price. Sold within 48 hours.

A good car will always sell and quite easily IMO as long as the price is reasonable. Personally raceboy I'd spend the money on it as there are probably loads out there just need a few bits doing and yours will fall into the 'also-rans' category.

ie if yours is the same as a lot of others, it's only price which will shift it, and that's bad for you.

I rang a couple of dealers about having mine SoR. One was going to put it up for far less than I was selling it for privately so that wasn't on and the second IMO wanted to big a slice of the deal for basically just being a shop window.

Pity that Cerb hasn't got Air Con though ...

Totally agree with M@H on this.

Also, if I were buying I'd rather get one needing minor TLC (I enjoy cleaning cars inside and out) for few quid off. But if I were selling I'd make sure everything was tip-top even if it meant spending money on a full inside/outside valet first (e-mail me thro' profile ) and price accordingly.
