Water in drivers door pocket - where next ?

I now have a new water issue. Water in the front drivers door pocket. Carpet not wet beneath/door panel not wet. Where the hell is it likely to be coming from ? It just sits there like a little bird bath

Seriously, if the carpet in the door panel isn't damp then I have no idea how the water could have got there.

Its a feature, use them as finger bowls after eating a hot sausage roll.

Mine does the same, but I know why. The rubber end cap (the bit on the top trailing edge behind the window glass) is sitting in the centre console. Apparently these fall off for a past-time. Rain straight off roof and into door. Possible outside rubber sealing strip is not sealing against the window.

Look on the bright side, it won't rust out the bottom of the door. I admit it is a bit disconcerting to hear a loud 'slosh' as you open and close the door.

If you glue it it will come off again, and one day you'll loose it. Trust Me.

The trick is to drill through the rubber on the back and side and use 2 small self tapping screws to hold it in place et voila!

Make sure the screws are short though, you don't want to scratch the glass as it goes up and down.

End cap ? what end cap ? Oh that end cap !! No my is still on. Any way now feel better that I am not the only person with this problem. Thanks for the comments. When the water as blown up the elec window switch I will be back and let you all know !!!
