Spider wheels conversion

I thought, and this may only have been a rumour, that the 'special' on the wheel and brake upgrade was because the Tamora wasn't selling that well and they had a shed full of wheels at Blackpool, if that's the case, aren't they only filling another shed with kerbed, and scruffy second hand rims with part worn tyres on them?

Apparently Chimaera 500 and Griffith wheels are like hens teeth so there is a demand for them.

Yep, but surely the majority of the upgrades will be the 5 spoke variety rather than the 7 spke Estorils? (Sp?)

Just had the brake and wheel upgrade on my Chimaera 500. Overall effect is to be recommended as it stops better and there is less compliance in the fronts (as they are 16in rims rather than 15).
As the new wheels are five stud not four and the new brakes won't fit in the old 15in front rims anyhow the old rims have to go. You don't send the rims back to TVR only the oily bits! My car had seven spoke Griff wheels and sadly I had just had new SO3s all round! Guess they will have to go into Sprint after XMAS.
