Checking the enginenumbers
Where is the location of the number on the engineblock i want to check if is still the original engine(that is has the same number what is written on the plate in the engine room) and how can i check that it is a 5.0 because the rocker covers are not purple but on the plenum is standing 5.0HC
On the plate with all the numbers is written : Engine number 47A50p1910

Ok thanks, but I want to know, were's the lokation of the number is on the engine block so that i can check if the engine is the same(original) engine from this car and never changed for another
Follow the dipstick down to where it meets the engine block under the exhaust manifolds. There is a flat bit of the block between 3 & 5 where the engine number is stamped on the engine. You may need to clean it up a bit, removing the AFM & pipe to the plenum might give better access..
