Yeah they are getting really arsey about plates now my GF got pulled over in her little swift a few months ago because her plate did not have the BS mark in the corner, They made her change them and take it to a MOT station to get passed, when there after buying new plates the mot'er said he would pass the car with the old plates as they were the correct size and spacing, what's going on with the traffic cops these day's lack of common sense I think.
What difference does that little BS in the corner make?
My Volvo just had its MOT and had to have new plates put on due to water getting in between the laminate and it only says the garages name on the bottom not one sign of a BS lettering i asked him about it (He is a Chim owner too after seeing mine) he thinks they are just at it.

Not taking the O/P to far of topic but i am next door to an MOT station and they are now told to come down hard on non conforming plates by VOSA What difference does that little BS in the corner make?

the plate i got stopped for was the same size as AC BILKO's purple Chim above
