Does anyone have a Chim/Griff that lives outside and doesn't get small puddles inside (small amounts of dampness in continuous or heavy rain is OK!)??

I love my Chim too.... was going to give up and buy a cover if no one has a dry one, but if people do, then it shows that its possible to get one dry.....

its all worth it for a few miles of roof off motoring

I also use a Leven 1/2 cover!

Doh!. Does yours leak if you don't use the cover? or do you just deploy the cover when the weather is *really* shite?

Cheers,

Karl

Only use the cover in the evenings, it's out in the factory car park during the day, in all weathers.

But the rear still remains dry! OH

Mine live outside most of the time.. I suffer from very large puddles.. Re-sealing the roof has stopped mine leaking recently.. Find I have to do it every three months though to keep the water out..

Just the boot leak to fix now!

Oh indeed! I took Trev out for a quick spin this afternoon...an hour and half later I arrived back home But I wasn't fulfilled, I wanted more!!! I could drive for hours and never tire of him

Glad I'm not the only one - a mountain of boring household things to do - one not really necessary thing to buy - Minnie has been resting in her garage all week - kill two birds with one stone .... 3.5 hrs later return home!! Its so much fun

Does the novelty ever wear off? I've had Minnie for a year now but still go the long way round.

All this talk of driving is making me sad.

My Chim is currently having a front end respray after someone smacked her over Xmas. She's been away 2 weeks now, and I'm starting to miss her! Really wanted to go for a drive this weekend.

The GF and I went down to Shad Thames for a walk, and look around the Design Museum, and saw 2 driving passed (a Starmist Green - didn't catch the other one) and one tucked up a flats secure garage - a silver one. Anyone on here?

Ah well, found out on Fri that the insurance has been approved, and that they have started work. Fingers crossed I'll have her back soon.

Then there'll be plenty of to catch up on.

Mines dry
In vertical rain anyway. Yeah I know it all comes down, but sometimes it goes sideways too. I think thats the stuff to avoid if you can.

It normally lives in a garage but last night I was visiting family when the heavens opened up. I sat there sweating and panicking for a bit unable to make my excuses and leave to get it back home.
When I finally got away I franticly felt behind the seats ETC fearing the worst. To my pleasant surprise it was bone dry, despite the monsoon, albeit vertical rain.
I must stop taking the scare stories I read on here to heart.

I'm pleased so many people have replied with "yes, 1 dry Chim here"..... it shows that there is something different from when it was new, and therefore it is something that can be fixed. If they all got wet and no one could fix it, then that would be diheartening. Now all I have to do is find the hole and plug it

Thanks (again) PH,

Karl
