headlight conversion - nice

Look forward to seeing it even more now. Will start route planning and give you a shout. Would be great to spend an evening with another PHer in the middle of France on the return leg

Did same 2 years ago, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland (£25 for the motorway pass, Ouch,) Monaco and on to San Rafael, back up through the middle of France. Camped on route.
Tips;
· Never pass an open filling station with less than half a tank full, as we managed to go 70 miles without finding an open station in the afternoon. Last 25 of those miles were very economical. We ended up putting in 54 litres, so it was running on it’s own fumes.
· Temperatures were very hot and I found that flicking on the fan over ride switch as soon as we hit traffic kept the temp gauge down towards 80. Main dealer charged £60 to do this, but it is easy to do yourself.
· Careful where you park as bump parking seems to be the norm.
The response we received from people was wonderful, most UK truckers + bikers waved, and we got a standing ovation from a group of kids on their way to school.
We are going to do the same this year in May, hoping to catch the historic Monaco GP on the 15 & 16th May.
Enjoy.
