As you say engine block to chassis. There is a stud welded to the chassis in the O/S wheel arch so use that and at the same time clean it all.
Also check the earth bolted to the back of the block on the nearside about level with the exhaust manifold.
Before you go replacing any parts get RoverGauge. With that you can see what the stepper motor and temp sensors etc are doing.

Thanks all, really appreciate your assistance. It’s booked in with TVR Sussex to diagnose as I’m out of options! Earth is strong all round, checked on multimeter earlier. All other components basically new. Stepper is about the only thing / some dodgy temp sender although that is new (ish) too.But I’ll have to wait and see! I’ll come back with the fix! :-)

Rovergauge flagged up errors on them as well.
Changed 'em both and it has run spot on since.

Thanks dude, I have thought of them, as it appears to be the only thing that hasn't been renewed thus far. Plus the heat issue would also tie in with them. I'm having the experts look over her this time, so that they can show me what is hot & what's not. The car needs some tidying, so there are things that I'll address in time (once my garage is clear and I can sit her in for the winter and start stripping things). For now I just want her sorted to have fun in, only had it two weeks and am so addicted to it, I just want to enjoy driving it as much as possible! Thanks all! I'll report back with my solution once found! Fuelling was obviously all over the place.

Just a bit rough running here so decided to change the temparature sensor. Since I have a LHD Griffith with A/C this is not a 2 min job as het A/C pipe prevents a long socket. Ditributor cap off made it easier but still fiddly. Anyway, problem solved, gauge also reads between 80-90 as operating temp and no longer around 70. Ordered partnr SMP 0660-227 (although it says FAE on the sensor itself)
