can anyone tell me of a trimmer local to me (rochdale lancs )who would be able to replace my rear window without my needing to re mortgage my house.one local specialist has just quoted £670 + vat as he says it cant be restitched, and must be replaced

You do know it's a claim on your winscreen cover don't you? So it should only be at most £100 excess, but check your policy first..

£670 + Vat OMG, mine was covered on the insurance £50 excess but only cost £175 total for a new plastic screen including fitting

Of course a new window can be stitched in. Lots on here have had it done.

Seems to me like you're the one being stitched up!

Possibly a bit too far away from you, but Trim-tec in Dudley (0121-557-9977) supplied and fitted a new back window for £145 inc. vat

obviously from comments on thread,it can be repaired.has no one in north west had experience, dont mind travelling 50 miles or so,just want to be able to use my baby.

£670 Had the whole roof replaced in blue mohair (inc rear window) for less than that!

But that was in the South west so not much help there I'm afraid.

found somebody who can do the job. martrim ,. ad in sprint,£160+vat. downer is cant do til 20th april. will post result.thanks for input,jon.
