and also , what ignition timings do you all run? at idle and at 'all in' full advance? and what do your engines rev to on the road?

Can't we just trust this? It should be fair enough. Hi Compression it is too! Not High Compression either just Hi. So saying hello to Compression then hehe

I bought one from new in 1995. It's High lift Cam.

The HC sat as a distinct model between the 4.0 and the 5.0 in the range. If I recall correctly the cost was about £1500 difference. Some fairly laughable claims were made for all the engines and I think 275bhp was hoped for in the brochure.
Incidentally a brand new TVR was as tight as a drum. Any rattles and squeaks have been added since.

That's good enough for me. So does that mean that it's easy to convert any 4.0 to a 4.0 HC with a retrofit later on? Would 1500 be about right to have that done now?
