I've been putting this post off for a long time, now its all coming together I thought it about time to share! We stared with a 4.6 crank and block then added custom made rods and pistons, 96mm bore tophat liners and a custom grind cam from crower to create a 4.8 with 7:1compression, ARP Bolts and studs through out, I already had V8 Developments stage 3 heads and 45mm inlet manifold and 72mm plenum. We went for a lighter less cluttered front end setup so I got hold of a preserp swirl pot, alternator bracket and with the v8s manifolds and custom swan neck turbo link pipes, the turbos ( gt28rs) could be mounted so every thing looked equal and symmetrical After much deliberation a decision was made to stick with the T5 and had the uprated quaife wide ratio internals as this was being used on cars with 800hp (as I was informed by Bernie at CTS, although he wouldn't commit to a maximum torque figure). I have acuired a 3.9 GKN dif so i have a choice of final drives and will be getting the uprated drive shafts from Dave mac Then I looked long and hard for a clutch and flywheel that would be up to the job, I decided on a Mcleod RST twin plate clutch and an sfi rated mcleod FW again good for 800 ponies but with a near to standard pedal feel that wasn't on and off like the high HP paddle clutches. As for the stopping power I went for the 322mm disks from a tuscan s with TVR calipers and 5 stud hub conversion but this is sitting on my garage floor waiting to be fitted, shocks are Gaz gold pros with uprated springs, and will be sitting on 18" spiders at least until I can decide on what else I like! Corillo rods and Ross pistons ceramic coated and total seal rings 96mm tophat liners in a cross bolted block 4.6 Crank rods ARP studs and bolts 2 Garrett GT28rs turbos with swan neck link pipes connected by V8s manifolds Turbo trial fit to build link pipes and Y piece Mcleod clutch pack In the test bed with carbs fitted to bed the Cam in Aeroquip Turbo drains in the sump The Engine in it's final form with RC racing 60lb injectors, tufftriding to all the linkage and fuel rail, and stainless bolts throughout, and powder coating to almost everything

Really liking the look of this.... how are you going to keep on top of detonation and temperature control? Any worries about mounting the blowers on stainless? Was warned off doing this but so want it to work...

Was warned off doing this but so want it to work... Temp control via a very large intercooler not made yet! and probably water injection when on full chat, DTA p8 pro ecu running the igintion and fuelling, we have low compression and are going to run about 15psi to start with we're aiming for 600 horses the headers and link pipes are mild steel the rest is stainless so we'll see what happens

Easily fixed with a little of you know what if it becomes an issue
