Owning a Morgan three-weeler (3-wheeler)?
Discussion
I'm 6' and more XXL than XL and just about fit.
The pedals are adjustable (by mounting bolts) but the issue for me is the tightness of the foot well and pedels.
On a test drive I found it difficult to tuck my left foot out of the way of the clutch. However it's an absolute blast so I've got another test drive booked and if I can work out how to live with the pedals I'll probably be putting down a deposit

Cracking test drive - I've ordered one The pedals are adjustable (by mounting bolts) but the issue for me is the tightness of the foot well and pedels.

The foot well is tight but there's enough space.

I've driven one a fair few times, they have their quirks, that's for sure. One thing I noticed recently got me thinking... I'm 5'10" ish, hardly a beanpole, yet look at the height of my head compared to the height of the rollbar in this pic. Hmm....
They are smashing things, though.
Higher rollbars are now an option - they add 45mm and have headrests. They are smashing things, though.
They're not to my taste so I'm staying with the standard.
I have had mine for a few months now and done 1900 miles.
My bevel box needs replaced, but that is a common fault and will be replaced under warranty.
One exhaust fell off, got it welded as I was on tour in Ireland. It will also be sorted.
What cannot be sorted is the daft grin I have every time I get in it. Pull in any side you like to fill up at a pump.
I am 5'10" hooker of adequate proportions (16st) and my bigger pal (19st) and I fit in fine. I have had T350's, Caterham and Exige and it is fine in comparison.
Talkmorgan is a great forum.
This pic was a week or so ago in Donegal.
I think the cheapest a second hand one will go for is about £27K and dealers will offer about £25K. I think they are a reasonable depreciation.

I'm having a bit of a hankering for one of these just now. They seem to be holding their value well, with a few available around the £25k mark. I'm 6'4" and 15 stone, 34" leg, size 12 shoes. I've driven plenty of Elise's and VX220's without insurmountable space constraints so would hope I'll fit in one of these.
Anyone care to share their long-term experiences with these cars?

The footwell is tight but you could be ok.Anyone care to share their long-term experiences with these cars?
Make sure the pedals are in the furthest forward position when you test drive.
I have a 25mm spacer for the steering wheel which makes a huge difference to the clearance for your left leg. You can simulate the effect by carefully half releasing the QR steering wheel.

Thanks for the reply, i actually managed to bag a seat in one last weekend and fitted ok - bit tight but narrow shoes would be ok and, i think you're right, a wheel spacer would help a lot.
Just need to find one in the right colour scheme and at the right price. They haven't depreciated much eh?

Here's a pile of photos of a red three wheeler... Flickr Set
Great toy and as pointed out earlier the grin factor is massive.

Are there any other 3 wheelers in Aberdeen ?. I've yet to see one.
I'm not aware of any others but there could easily be one or two tucked away that only come out in the best of weather. There is definitely one other in Aberdeenshire and I would expect that given the number of toys in this part of the world there will be more that I don't know of.
