Hood & Tonneau Replacement

Has anyone had these replaced by using the old ones as a template. All the suppliers I have spoken to so far want the car as well. I live in the North of Scotland and have neither the time or inclination for the four trips required to do so.

You are best off letting the trimmer have the car, at least for final fitting. Old hoods tend to have shrunk, especially if vinyl, and given all Morgans vary, the only way to get a good fit is direct on the car.

After a full rebuild of my car, I needed a new roof and tonneau to finish it off.

Only one way to do it correctly, I arrived at the Morgan factory first thing, drove home early afternoon with made to measure hood and tonneau.

Williams and Allon White are 2 dealers who have trim shops.
Williams have Austin who used to work for Morgan..did a job on my tonneau cover.
Allon White are well respected.
Have a look.

You could always make a trip out of it and stay overnight etc..
Maybe get a car loan/test drives!

Thanks for that. As you see I live in the North of Scotland and commute between Scotland and London weekly. I also have overseas travel several times a year. Every weekend we also have a round trip to & from Edinburgh. So when I do have free time the last thing I want to spend it on is a trip down South and back down some weeks later to collect. The one option that was mentioned about the renovation co in Alyth seemed hopeful, but after calling several times to be told they would get back to me they never did.
I have decided to just live with current hood & tonneau.

Eventually managed to speak to someone at Alyth. Hood, tonneau and spare wheel cover - labour £3712, materials £225. Add VAT and that's
£4724! I politely declined.

Can the dealer in Perth help at all?

Is it RPM or something like that?

Only in as much as they can get the car shipped down to Morgan and back, which I could arrange myself. In fairness they have been very helpful. I'm probably going to just get the car shipped up and down to Allon Whites. Still a hell of a lot cheaper.
