1987 V8 not used for 10 years value?

I've been asked to go and look at a car that's sat for 10 years plus, all I know is it's a V8 and from 1987.
If the ash has deteriorated can it be a diy job to replace it, can all the sections be purchased?
What would be the value of a complete dog of a car that needs and engine and chassis update?

Hello, regarding your question I see that no one has replied. You might get more joy on Talk Morgan.

No longer living in the UK I am a bit out of touch with prices for rebuilds. However if ash frame needs attention then you're also talking bodywork and maybe chassis on top. I can't imagine a complete rebuild would leave any change from £25-30k if done by a professional, and car once done won't be worth much more than that.

Having said that even a dog of a Morgan is worth minimum £10k, so start there…
