Hi all,

Wondered if anyone knows anything about the source of a gaiter (dust boot) for the clutch operating fork on a 1991 +8 (with LT77 box)?
The suggestion is that the lever aperture on the top of the bell housing was left open, but for a couple of years (1991?) a gaiter (see photograph of remains) was fitted.
If so, what was it? (SD1?), or where can I get one?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Contact Melvyn Rutter. He might know details. Many years as a dealer and parts supplier.
Other places would be car owner clubs that used LT77 boxes, Rover groups, Cobra, etc.
Rimmer Bros are another possibility. Specialists in Rover engines, boxes etc.

Melvyn Rutter has already tried very hard, but doesn’t know what it is, and similarly Rimmer Bros. Morgan factory simply says no longer available (without saying where they got it from). Morgan club cannot help. I am really looking for someone with a similarly aged Plus 8 - as I don’t think it was fitted for very long.
Thank you.
