Got got some info to say that my sports exhaust is winging it's way to my dealer, where a quick shift gear linkage and an ally gearknob are waiting for me Really looking forward to getting these fitted, shoudl make it sound like it should, and speed up the gearchange a fair bit too! Not to mention add a few bhp!

Pics etc when it's fitted early next week

Mine got put back a week as the cats had to be sent to librands to get some mods. It is definitely ready tomorrow after 1.5 weeks in the garage.
The alfa 8c looks awesome - a good replacement if it gets built.

picked it up this morning, and it sounds awesome. I can't imagine why anyone would spec it without. when its idling you can hear that throaty growl now and it has a note now similar to a TVR. Coming off the gas in 1st the car now bangs and pops. It's also now a lot smoother to drive. I didn't thrash it as it was wet and they've put new brake pads on, but it should be fine by the time i've driven to Anglesey in a fortnight. Just worried now that it might not pass the decible test!

ok bloody annoyed today as it turns out the exhaust the factory sent doesn't fit! So off to Germany with less bhp and less drama than I woudl have liked. Oh well bloody typical!

Tu8rns out you need to modify the catalyst manifold on the series 1 to get the sports pipes on so will be done in a couple of weeks when the factory can get it sorted - happens they are on holiday this week so guess I can't grumble...

Low VMAX speed seems to be that the VMAX is really around about 140-145 - purely down to the aerodynamics.

Given the 0-100 speed is pretty comparable to a 360 I'm not feeling that hard done by

I had the catalyst manifold modified and it took 1 and 1/2 weeks to do the work. After a weekend of driving it hard;
It is vvv loud - will post the decibel next monday (a friend said it is much louder than his griffith which was measured at 94dB - Anglesey is limited at 105dB).
It reduces the ground clearance - I've probably only got around 2-3 inches between the road and the pipes, so it tends to bottom out on twisty country roads.
I think it's fantastic - it's completely changed the car

Ahh well figure it'll be the same job then.
Got the car back last night all perfect and shiney interior all perfect (got to give SGT top marks for making her look so fantastic). The quick shift and alloy gearknob have really improved the shift quality - much more positive now, it's a bit more of a meaty shift - I'd go so far as to say that the old shifter feels like stirring runny porridge in comparison!

Off to Germany with the minihoon folks tomorrow - so pics will follow on this board
