Any Aero 8 daily drivers?

I'm sure you can guess from the thread title i would like to hear from "higher mileage" aero 8 users, ideally people who use these things as daily drivrs, so i can guage what to expect. Having had 2 Chimaeras and 4 993's in the last 6 years i am very very tempted by an Aero, but i'm not a "toy" person, i'd do at least 10k miles per year in it...

I don't drive it every day as I work abroad, but have done 14,000 miles in 2 years in Series 1 and 11,500 miles in Series 11 in 10 months, without any serious mechanical problems. Series II is much better built, in my experience, than Series I and most of the mods made have improved the car enormously.
Series III now on order for delivery next year, do try an Aero 8 - you won't regret it.

Would agree - I've put around 6000 miles on mine over the year, not daily driver (weekends as I'm on the train weekdays) - but the car always starts, never causes trouble. After all underneath the running gear / drive train is BMW 5 series - so nothing to worry about!
The various series all have their plus / minus points - and most cars will ahv ebeen modified on some way or other, so approach each car as a complete individual...

Nope! You can do a track based experience in one somewhere, but thats about all I'm aware of.
Having said that I think it's one of those cars that you immediately love or hate - I only needed a 20 minute test drive to know I wanted one. It was then just a case of finding the correct spec before parting with the cash...
Woudl you be looking at a pre owned car, or ordering to your own spec?

I got my Aero on the basis of a 1/2 hr test drive and what other info I could glean (mainly from hera and a guy called Aero8). Best decision I've made in a long time.
My car was the Morgan demonstrator had 22k on the clock and I have added 2000 in three months with St Tropez to come. runs beautifully with nothing falling off or wearing (othwr than sreering wheel needs repainting - wedding rings!)
I also came out of a 911 (996 C4 Cab). Comparison is simple. 911 will always be a Porsche and all the positives are recorded elsewhare. But a 911 will never have the soul, charisma or character that the Aero possesses. Nor the speed (Excl. Turbo, GT2 et al). My Aero rides hetter than my 911 did on the motorway and had less wind buffeting. 911 though is much stiffer over bumps and much less scuttle shake (996 cabs excellent in this category) though Aero no worse than my Z3M Roadster.
My conclusion: 10/10ths accuracy on twisty roads/circuit? 911 any day. Wide goofy grins, screaming for the hell of it, character, excitement, old fashioned driveability, everybody's friend (dont get one if you don't like attention!) AND [modern] reliability, power, the sound of a WWII fighter plane, exclusivity, great residuals and British hand built engineering?? The Aero. May God bless the Morgan family and factory

PS can't compare to TVR as never had one.
Currently a studnet and running a 4/4. I would like an Aero 8 at some point, might be a few years yet. Plan is to run a Morgan as my main and only car for as long as I can.
I think they are fun and have a character that few cars have.
I wish more people would use them and prevent there being a sigma and price drop for the high millage cars.
