I recently bought a 1979 that has been restored but had no bumpers as the restorer was going to fit chrome ones. I would like some rubber ones to get it back to its original state.

Does anyone know where I can find some?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you.

If it has been restored to take chrome bumpers, it might have been fitted with wings for a chrome bumper car. The indicator light placements will be different on the two wing types. Indicators in the wing for chrome and in the bumper for the rubber cars. Although going from chrome to rubber will cover the different hole position, you'll have to check the RB mountings are still intact and not been cut back for the conversion.
I'd carry on with the chrome, but if you want the rubber ones then either look on Ebay which has numerous ones or if there is a local MG restorer try them or even contact your nearest MG club.
They sometimes deform or perish, especially the armatures inside, so always try to go and see them before you buy.

Thank you for both bits of advice, I think he just removed the old ones with the plan of chrome, from what I understand no amendments have taken place so I just need to buy bumpers and brackets.

Sorry for my ignorance but who is Andy?

if Andy Jennings doesn't have what you want then there are a few Midget owners that also stock and sell parts so you could ask on the MG BBS and put up a wanted ad there in the classifieds

good luck

Don't think you need any type of separate brackets, the rubber bumpers should just bolt straight onto the fixing plates at the front and bolt through the rear panel at the back.
