I wouldn't buy a toaster that got 3 stars in a review let alone a car.

They look st
The interior is dire
The range of engines is st
They're slow
They're expensive for a piece of Chinese
The warranty is a joke

It would have to be some hell of a test drive to convince me to pick it.

Those are both the worst reviews of the older model. I can easily find better ones, especially for the MG3 or the updated '6.

Since those reviews were written MG have won awards from owners surveys (best handling car in 2014 I think), BTCC manufacturer championship, towing awards for the'6, and bought a showroom by the old BMC showroom in Central London.

Why not support the brand as it grows and possibly creates more British jobs?

'MG wouldn’t expect the 3 to rank higher than a Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio or Volkswagen Polo or probably even appear in a top five.

It would definitely make its way into the top 10, though. And it would be there on merit, not just because it’s five grand cheaper.'

I suggest a new topic on the MG GS.
