Hi Dryden
- are those JA Pierce alloy wheels? What about some more pictures or a new thread?

Yes, JAP Magnas..... They are original Magnas not new, and are still on the car whilst I finish the front arch flares, then I will send them to be blasted and powder coated, I am hoping they will be OK. The base car, the red bit is an old racer that has been in a barn since 94, but is a very good shell, it has 1360 and a type 9 5 speed box. The green bits are early Ashley, also originals. It is being built up for hillclimbing. I will post more pictures soon.

It is an original Ashley GT kit from Ashley Laminates dating from around 1965, I believe it to be quite rare. The headlamp appetures are E Type, ( I am looking for a pair of plexiglass covers if anyone has any? ) dryden said:

Of course, it's an Ashley GT kit. 1965's a splendid year...year I was born! As for rarity, we are Re' E-Type covers, a number of the main Jaguar parts people have these readily available, and/or, you may like to contact ACW in Bristol who specialize in lexan poly components and windows for motorsport.Flying Phil said:
Jed-S any chance of more details on your AGE Midget?
My Midget was on ebay a few years ago and after some red wine I was the proud owner of a project. It had been restored before and converted to RWA but needed most of the lower panels replaced. The engine is from a Mk1 MR2 and linked to a type 9 box. The ITBs are from a 20v 4AGE on a steel inlet manifold. The ECU is MS1 Extra v3. Cams are HKS 264 inlet and 256 exhaust and I hope that it is pushing out 135bhp. At the PH RR last year it recorded 125bhp and it feels better now.
Brakes are stock but with some Greenstuff pads. I do have some 1144 and Yellowstuff pads to try but as I can lock the wheels and I don't track it yet the greens are more than sufficient. I did fit a brake servo to improve the pedal feel though and this was probably the best change and makes swapping between cars easier.
Weight came in at 712kg with a full tank and tools. The seats are some from Intatrim and quite thin and narrow which helps me get my 6'2" lanky body in.

I know, I know, it's not a proper one; but I'm pretty much resigned to keeping this as I can't face any more of the chronic knuckledraggers that haunt Ebay and Gumtree. It needs a couple of jobs doing but the bodywork is in good condition so sod it - why not?
Not quite the 4x4 estate I need but whaddaya gotta do...

My Dad's '67 MGB GT is in my garage finally getting some attention.
He had a 68 (I think) roadster with a V8 before I was born, and my Mum persuaded him to swap it for this GT just before I was born with the view of idyllic family days in the countryside with the kids in the back. In the brief time he had it on the road he rebuilt the rear axle, but when the tax ran out in September 86, only a few months after he' bought it, it went in the garage for a light restoration. He stripped the ancillaries from the engine, and removed the interior, but otherwise it has been largely untouched for the last 29years.
In September we pulled the engine out and it went away for a couple of bits of bodywork, and the forward rear Spring hangers replacing. I got it back in November and have since stripped the front suspension and dropped the cross-member, Have stripped all the old under seal, done a few bits of welding on the underside and have used Hydrate 80, zinc primer, stone chip and Bilthammer UB wax.
Progress has stalled since I went back to work after paternity leave, but I'm hoping to have the front suspension rebuilt, back on its wheels and the new loom, fuel lines, and brake lines in by the end of March so it can go to my Dad for the engine, ancillaries and interior to go back in before my sisters wedding in May. Fingers crossed!

Not an MG but close. 2 weeks ago I bought this:
Just about fits in the garage
300 miles in and the clutch release grenaded itself on Saturday so currently planning on getting the engine out :/
Nice MG/Frogeye! Just about fits in the garage

Could you please post up some pictures of your release bearing when the engine is out, as it rarely gives trouble, being such a simple system.
