I bought this 1978 Midget a couple of months ago.

It's done 55k miles, I'm it's 3rd owner, but it's not been on the road since 1995.

I'm giving it quite a thorough freshen up, this is the engine bay recently;

Hoping to have it on the road next spring or summer.

Bought for pennies - stripes are off now - more work to do - hopefully ready for Summer 17.

On my 5th MG which I've now owned for 7 years...

Three BGT's

The Blue one....

The Blue one and the white one just before the blue one went... (GF's mini at the back...)

The V8... sold about three years ago and regretted it ever since... stupid decision....

The ZS180....

And the one I still have, this picture taken about 6 years ago...

And this one taken about 6 weeks ago.... frown

Taken on the NC500 April 2016. I have now owned this car for 8 1/2 years off which it has had the Kenne Bell S/C as fitted by Dreadnought Garage in Scotland for over 6. I don't think I can find a car more suitable for me I were to try, not going to try!

Had this between 1984 & 1997. Spent a bit on a full restore then sold it to a mate

They are so small by modern standards aren't they?

Our Midge!

I bought the car off fleabay, Started doing the work on it then my knees buggered up!! I was working 12 hour shifts too so the old girl was forgotten about!

I now work 37 hours per week and had a new knee fitted so hopefully this coming new year will see the work resuming!!

The last pic was a virt done by a chap on Motornutz forum!

B73, that's a cracking looking SebringGT. Noting wheels, was your car an original V8? And what's the car running now? Any more pics would be great to see...

The V8 on the right is mine, the '54 TF is nearly mine!
The TF owner has had this since 1959 (was his daily driver) but due to ill health he hasn't driven it for at least 10 years.
I use it whenever I want to - I'm the only other person to drive it - and his wife knows where it's going when he dies!
He also has 4 other MG's ranging from "ordinary" to "magnificent"

Nicely done. I'm doing a similar conversion to my rubber bumper. What have you done at the back ? Have you made a pedestal under the light cluster ?

To V8 250,

Yes my car is an original V8
Me and my friends have rebuilt 3 MG V8.
The last is grey and very nice too

The engine and gearbox are from a Griffith 500 but now with a 4 barrel carb.
