Having recently taken ownership of my '64 MGB I've had several issues with the existing battery being weak. The car was originally set up for for two smaller batteries but I notice that only one larger battery is in place. Personally, I think the battery itself is at fault and needs replacing. I want to fit the ideal battery for this car, either double or single, and I'm looking for advice as to which layout and indeed batteries are best.

Thank you

that's an easy one. A single 12v 063 format unit is a very tight fit in one of the bins. A common battery which will be much cheaper than two 6v ones, will last longer and is more than man enough to get you running.
