Hi,
I'm thinking of building up a Midget to use in light competition. I had one in the past and loved it but there were overheating issues, particularly on classic rallies where you need to go constantly for hours, occasionally go as fast as you can for a short while, then que for a while.
The class I am looking at would require standard cooling system - so I can't fit a bigger radiator than the factory did, or one of a different material. However, parts are interchangeable between versions of the same model. So you can fit a 1275 engine to an 1100 chassis, for example.
I wondered what the biggest, best-cooling radiator factory-fitted to a Midget was? Or where I could find out? I wonder if 1500s destined for California or Texas had bigger radiators, for example.
(There are some things I can do to help -the car is allowed an oil cooler and electric fan, for example, but my experience was that these aren't enough)
