Have you seen the Mustang Quad cam V8's on the PH classified?
350-400BHP there with the right map.

The 32 valve engine is too tall to fit in the engine bay. Can't shut the bonnet.
Shame as the unit fitted is a bit breathless at higher revs.

I think these engines are the same as fitted to the ZT385 and the SV coupe, so would they not fit beneath the lid of a 260?

ZT385 was never finished, just a dodgy hack by prodive with no aircon, etc. Specially made bonnet and so on. You can buy it if you like, but bonnet and front end appears missing!
Obviously the SV is a entirely different car, and I think they are fitted with the 32 valve engine.

Shame, mind you..I wonder if the 32 valve motor would fit in an MGB body shell. LOL

Hi Tony. Hadn't realised you were about here...

Yes it does, even though MG said it wouldn't....
It's been done

That's cheating Pete I hope I'll get a chance to see it doing it's stuff on track next year.

How are you, where you not trying to get a race car of your own going for next year?

I'm good. to busy and not enough money to buy all the shiney racecar bits I want!!

I've got a metro which I am gradually getting sorted to go racing -see profile (MGCC series), meantime I have been playing in it at trackdays, was out at the mgs-on-track day at silverstone, don't think you were there though. My current (but generally slipping) plan is to have the car ready (and ARDS passed) by the end of 2006, and do about 1 trackday a month to build up my experience.

We managed to get Paul's car through the Brit-car 24 hour, it hasn't been out since though, it should be on display at Autosport I think. Are you going (Autosport), I'll be there on the Friday.

Cheers,

Pete

There is never enough case for racing. It always tries to soak up more!

I should see you around about the paddock then once you get racing, along with JLD if his plans are coming along.
I missed a few of the last trackdays, mainly due to a busy period a work. Shame as I really wanted to come. If you do some in 2006 I should be around at most of them. In fact I should be taking the 260 to Bedford in January to do some 'wee skids'
I've offfered to be the man on the ground for the trackdays next year, so dave and the rest can get on with their driving whilst I try and make sure eveyone is happy ,etc.

I'll be comign to Autosport. I need to renew my race licence so I can get down on Thursday or Friday. Hopefully see you there!

Tony
