Whats the best quality breaking/riveting tool for 530 chain ?

Whale was recommended to me... And the one time I've used it! Was very good

Well, I have changed 6 chains in 2 and a half years, mostly due to myself making a bad launch, and bearing in mind that I do an average of 35 standing starts in 1 year, so that's about 80 starts for me to date. I use a cheapish ebay one and never had any problems ;-)

That's 13 starts per chain. I've gone through 3 chains in about 150 starts, so I'm getting 4x the longevity. Are you doing lots of mileage between starts? What chain are you running?

I have chain drive on my hillclimb car, chain to supercharger, chain to gearbox and chain final drive. Have a look at the Regina chain site. Lots of nice technical detail and a great range of chain. They also sell the riveter and extractor, top quality in my opinion.

As i said, it's mostly my fault not mastering the launch. However I am now very careful how I launch off the line. I use either DID or I am currently using EK, the one without O rings.

I've been using DID too. My start line technique is 10000rpm and dump the clutch! I wonder if your chain is out of alignment and causing accelerated wear? Maybe I'm just lucky...
