Good to meet you at Snetterton last weekend.
The ROC racing ethos sounds spot on for good old fashioned, grass roots, club motorsport and the thought and work you are putting into it are to your credit and greatly appreciated.
I am not ready to bring the Prosport out just yet as still sorting out a seat plus the first two meetings clash with Caterham races that I have committed to but I plan to come out and play later in the year so keep up the good work !

Only a fortnight to go tomorrow
, plenty of space left on the grid; that in tandem with the FULL SIZE 300 layout genuinely leaves me struggling to think of a better opportunity for a newbie and/or fresher to dip their toe for the first and/or another tentative time. C'mon in, the water's fine!
All the details you could wish for or need can found 'well, you know where'.

Over the course of the final week, it became apparent (as a combination of entries that did not actually materialise and a few forced withdrawals) that the grid would have been smaller than we considered to be appropriate in order to launch this with the desired gusto; so the decision was made that the Inaugural Round will now take place at what was previously scheduled as the Second Round i.e. Rockingham on Saturday 30 May 2015. Let's not go counting chickens, but the numbers for that already look rather promising
It was a tough call and as Diamond Geezer DD said when I chatted with him @ Snett yesterday 'damned if you do, damned if you don't'; I made the call that I thought best suited the competitors rather than us and/or BARC.
Only time will tell whether it was the right call, but hey, let's look on the bright side; a) this is not our first weekend under SNP Rule and incidentally, b) it's as rough as a bear's nether regions round my way this morning ......... which just happens to be not far at all from Snett.

(Blimey you were up and about early today!)
Well, the posse is definitely setting off on Saturday from Rockingham; a few more good guys joining the posse would be good, especially as there's plenty of garaging, so much so that even if they just turn up even as late as Sparrows F on Saturday Raceday (and blag their way into the circuit or call me on the mobile so I can come over and sort those pesky Security types out) BARC will get them signed up, paid up, scrutineered and racing. Can't say fairer than that can you?
As an aside, surprised we haven't heard from more SR1ers - a) they'd be in their separate lower PTW Class to the PR6s/SR3s and b) they've hardly got that many events to look forward to have they and isn't it actual racing seat time that makes a lot of difference?
Oh and what's the weather forecast looking like? Other than perhaps a short shower mid afternoon (twixt races) 0.0mm rain, sunny and about 15degC. That'll do nicely, touchwood, fingers crossed and all that malarky.

Weather was great, times were really good - only slightly down on the RSC ones, due to the surprisingly low track temperature - there was some really good hunting down and pleasingly, no cars whatsoever were damaged in the process.
Tim G was in a class of his own (literally i.e. Invitation) and just like in BikeSports, he just drove away from everyone, a combination of the best driver in the best car, showing just what can be done when in order to prove themselves, a small manufacturer like Spire has to boldly compete against and therefore be better than other makes. Fair play to Tim G and Paul N, job well done and darn nice people as well. The most competitive racing over both legs was between ever-improving Steve G and ROC's own Will B and it was nice (and appropriate) to see them sharing Class A1 honours. Despite having just the one leg to shine, the Driver of the Day Award went to Hamlet Junior; looks like there's a real genuine talent emerging there .......... I said to Hamlet to brace himself for being out-paced by the end of the season, but it looks like it's taken no more than one race weekend; he was straight on it from RSC the weekend before ........ must be in the DNA I guess!
So now very much looking forward to Dony National on 11 July 2015, not only because Dony + Such as a Radical =
, but also because it looks like at least one ROC Challenge race will be broadcast LIVE on Motors TV, a side benefit of the PCCGB also being on the Timetable. Therefore, even bearing in mind DD's excellent advice ("never ever believe anything a racing driver tells you!") I envisage a very much improved grid in terms of numbers.Cheers

Unlike some and conversely like some others, BARC don't seem to publish a list of entrants as part of their FI/FRs as a matter of course. As you say, some certainly do, usually about 10 or so days before the actual race date .......... some tend to be really accurate (like Radical themselves, HSCC etc) whereas others aren't, which is not a criticism, I suspect more just a reflection of their ability/need/willingness to accept late entries after the 'copy deadline' eg I remember last year's BikeSports Snett Round and I recollect it showed only 3 or 4 entrants on the FIs, whereas in fact there were actually 16 on the grid on the actual race day.
To keep it as accurate and current as possible, I intend to keep folks like your goodself regularly upto date via the Forum and/or email starting say a fortnight prior.

How 'set in stone' are the regs?
I have a front-engined bike-powered car which would probably be 'amongst it' with the slower Radicals but the regs say mid-engine only. I have a couple of friends with Radicals and we were looking to do some racing together and the choice really comes down to either Bikesports, for which my car is eligible, or ROC. One of my Radical mates is keen to do ROC and I don't care where we race TBH, as long as the racing is clean.
