Hi All,
New to forum and Radicals. I picked up a 2006 pretty well loaded 1500, high Down force, air-jacks and am looking forward to an exciting 2016. I'm playing around with the car and lifted the car with N2 bottle and Air-Jacks. Stupid question but how do you drop the car? I've tried using the lance with an open hose, but it doesn't drop. Might be a one way valve in the lance? Unfortunately hoe positioned it is challenging to remove the rear skins.

With the lance still on the valve, just pull on it. The centre of the valve will pull out about a quarter of an inch thus releasing the air. You can then squeeze the lance longitudinally to remove it from the valve.

The valve/probe can also be released/pulled out and open by simply using two fingers, especially as I prefer to discourage the lance and it's hose being left attached other than for the minimum time; left attached it's a real trip hazard and a trip can cause the probe to be pulled open by the still attached lance with potentially disasterous results. My other tips are 1) let the car down rapidly but not violently, 2) always run the car with the valve left open and (by far the most important) 3) never go under the car and rely solely on those air jacks!!!!!!! They all leak and they they will let the car down eventually, it's just a question of how quickly and that's often way quicker than you would think! So, if the car is going to be left jacked up for other than a quick tyre change, use these or similar as the absolute minimum >

Incidentally, I would seriously think about relocating the probe if it makes life difficult, afterall the jack install is supposed to make life easier/more convenient!

Talking about airjacks,
I have a rad and air jack lance, but no air jack bottle, regulator etc.
Any one know what make they are? I need a spare nozzle so one lance will do my other car as well.
Anyone have a spare bottle regulator etc they want to move on?
Would a nitrogen bottle with a regulator do it?

Curious with regard to the yellow air jacks stands, are they safe to support the car for a prolonged period of time? Ie: just as good as a set of axle stands? Also, does having the car up on air jacks allow the rear diffuser to be removed? I'm imagining the location of the air jack makes removing the diffuser impossible while lifted.

My '13 RS has the air jacks but I've admittedly never used them. Just gathering the lance, No2 bottle, regulator, etc now in preparation but was just curious a bit more about using the system in advance.

From my experience the air jacks are powerful and can lift the car and driver very quickly and you can drop back down quickly as well if required. The chocks don't really provide any real stability like an axle stand but reduce the risk of a car dropping in the short term. And no you can't remove the under tray with either the air jack activated or a central jack in place on the rear projecting post.
I have circled the off centre air jack hole. The centre hole is for the rear jacking post.
