We have just acquired a SR3 and are looking to compete in the Radical Middle East series (we are based in Abu Dhabi) - the series runs full FIA regs.

The tank in our car has expired, we are looking at options for replacement. Radical parts offers 4 different bag tanks at 54l/76l for Throttle bodied or carbed cars.

The price difference between the carb and the TB tanks is considerable, we're struggling to see where the near 2k difference is coming from?

Is it possible to fit a carb type tank, and swap over the pumps?

Hi, I just fit an ATL tank to my PR6. It is a carbed tank but fit a vent to the filler cap and used the vent port on the tank as a return.

Is there any chance you have a picture of the tank you fitted?? What does the access plate look like?

Thanks

Oh, by the way, the factory cover plate is on again, albeit with a slight modification.

DOH! They do have a UK base, not much help to you now of course! It is worth dropping them a line if you need anything else though.

I did actually check, but on web site they had no tanks like the one I needed, that is why I checked from ebay. I later got to know that the UK one also does tanks as requested by the client, again I should have dropped them a mail before buying

If you get the chance, get a factory tour, it is pretty cool if you are into engineering and motorsport etc!

Ok our tank is a little different,

Does anyone know if all the tanks for carb cars are like that? Is there an intank pump??

I had thought of going direct to ATL or other manufacures to get a custom tank made up.

My tank used to be like this. Then had to change to an external fuel pump (one main and one facet to suck fuel out of tank into a swirl pot)

Some news on the fuel cell, we are getting a new bag tank made up by Willans - very reasonable price - 50% what radical are asking.

Will post up some pics when we have it in the car - I also have a CAD file drawn up for the 50L radical tank if anyone needs it.
