My SR3 came second hand from Radical complete with brand new wets but slicks which I was told were used but only a few months old. Several starter motors later, I changed these for softer Hankooks which were significantly more confidence inspiring, and now I want some damp day / intermediate tyres for track days that will give me some grip in early morning damd / light rain where the wets just get too hot.
I'm struggling with the sizes, have tried Khumos but the rears catch on the bodywork. Anyone got any suggestions?

The best are used wets that haven't had the treads rolled through heat and have gone hard. I used a set of these at Pembrey a few years ago in drying conditions in qualifying and got the car right to the sharp end.

Maybe you just need a few more laps to build up until you get the slicks switched on.
I find that many seem to be a bit enthusiastic too early, even in the dry or after a safety car, resulting in offs. In the morning the other day ,i found it took 7 or 8 laps to get them right.

I should have said they catch on the wheel arch as opposed to bodywork - it wasn't offset that was the issue, just diameter.
The Kumhos were 265/45/16 Ecsta V70A. I think these are the size fitted to road cars but i guess set up with more clearence?
