Up near the top of the list is a 2005 HSV GTO, standing 1km at 330.3kph, a very impressive 205.24mph in proper numbers.

Seems to be around the 1500hp mark.

Threads like this really get my competitive side thinking...evil

I have all the bits in my garage to build something like that Ro. Then I look at my Audi, which is arguably quicker, and think "how many expensive, smelly, unused cars do I need?"

Damn you Stevie furious

Nice to see our stuff up there with the supercars.

Jez (Xpuffin) did it over here at Vmax with his VXR Monaro. More power to him.

Awesome. Shame the video is piss poor. You need to give him some pointers Stevie, as your Race-Render ones are very good indeed.

there are a few videos on their FB page, some better quality than others.

But it's definitely a very strong performance, much faster than anyone in the UK has done, and perhaps likely to do anytime soon.

He's a good 12mph up over my best on 1km, although clearly it is more heavily focused on straight line performance than mine and a more aerodynamic chassis. The posts seem to suggest around 1500hp, which would seem on par with the performance.

And credit to him, the car still runs a full interior etc and externally for most part still a very modest appearance.

Superb result all round !

They have several .. An orange VF ute that had a huge whipple charger on it as a pool car.
There was also a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT they they had a big whipple on too.

But they have had a few incidents ..

I guess bound to happen at some point.

First one...perhaps a little bizarre. I've been racing on airfields etc for many years, and really dont get how people can lose control like that, certainly not at lower speeds like they'd have been so early in a run.

Second...bit harder to say. Drag surfaces can have stranger effects on cars, and he was deliberately messing about it seems.

Not nice to happen to anyone though, first one really ended up in a mess !
