if you are literally looking for 2 seats, you can get the clubsport converted to 2 seats (using the SR4 seat unit).

Mine is and it works well!

the conversion was done by Van Kaiser at slipstream racing. The bodywork is slightly modded and the forward struts of the rollcage ditto. The gear linkage and steering column are moved and there is a vertical ally splitter in the footwell to keep the 4 feet from tangling! There are a few other movements such as the fire extinguisher and cutout swith.

It seems to have more room than the SR4 and works very well for me.

My chassis is origional and in v good nick I don't want spoil it by cutting and shutting to create extra space. Which car has the most room in it SR4 or SR3 ? I suspect I will have to sell my car before I can move up to a 2 seater. If anyone is looking for an unmolested clubsport let me know. Thanks

well I wouldn't call it quite a cut and shut job! It's also vastly different in price to an SR4/SR3 which I am guessing would be 10k more than you will get for a clubsport (at the very least).

I have not been in an SR3, but the SR4 is very cramped for two and the clubsport conversion is much more roomy. Of course the clubsport is 'old' technology now!

If you fancy more info, let me know and I can send some pics or if you are in the Epsom area at all, come and have a look. I'm a fan!! No connection etc.

Graham,
I agree the SR4 is a bit tight! I think the SR3 has a bit more room but not sure. If you could send me some pics of your cars cockpit I would be very interested. I have sent an email to Slipstream for some more info. If it's ok maybe I will have a look at your car after Xmas. I live in Kent so you are not far away! Email me and we can swap tel no,s etc.
Cheers

Just to say I have seen Graham's conversion and it is very professional, "cut and shut" is far too strong a phrase for it, comparing Graham's with mine shows that it's really just a few minor alterations. It uses a Radical seat (probably from the SR4) and the bodywork is modified just to give a bit more elbow room. The switches behind where the passenger seat will be are moved to the dash area and the gear linkage made more central. I'd classify the work as "minor".

Once I've had a good play with my CS next year, I'm thinking of getting the same conversion done.

we are thinking of getting Van Kaiser to modify a prosport, and i know he will be showing the car at the autosport show if thats easier for you.

Also i have a 2005 SR4 which i would be interested in doing a p/x on a club or prosport.
