Hi all,
I've had my XK up for sale for a while and not too many people ineterested. However, NM Jags in Bristol are keen as mustard for me to sell it through them on a Sale or Return basis, and have offered me a fair price, albeit less that what I'd planned.
They seem professional and genuine, but just to satisfy my curiosity, I wonder if anyone here has had any experience with them good or bad.
Many thanks...

Quite a bit of experience with them on www.jaguarforum.co.uk that you might want to read up on...

They seem to change trading names a lot - also known as usedjags.com and a search on that name should bring up lots of customer experiences.

I would steer well clear of them if I were you. I sold through them and a very unpleasant experience it was. This was a couple of years ago. I'm looking for another at present and despite their showroom being convenient for me and a few cars of theirs which I like. I absolutely will not do business with them.
Spivs basically. After very little contact from them. I went in to see what was happening and either to get a cheque or the car back and despite me being mild mannered and of an unimposing build and with a heavily pregnant wife, one of the people there was on the verge of offering me violence. wkers I would say but then that is my experience of them. Others may well be different. But anyone who threatens a customer with violence, well it says it all about their undelying attitude and ethos.

I wonder why supposedly 'Honest John' removed this excellent, helpful and most importantly truthful article about NM Jags Bristol / usedjags? Anyway, for anyone searching Google for NM Jags info and landing here... there have been arrests at NM Jags, they are under investigation by the Fraud Squad (I have been interviewed as a witness), many have lost tens of thousands to NM Jags*. Search Companies House for NM Jags, see how many times they have dissolved and started again. N. Morley (NM) is a bankrupt of the previous incarnations of the company, but is still involved & company cheques are still in his name - how is this allowed? More to the point, do you want to deal with these crooks?

  • example story: guy buys XK for 30k, it has problems but they won't take it back, instead offer to resell for him, the car goes on their forecourt, they sell it then liquidate. Guy looses car, money, everything. Not an isolated case.
Their scam is to sell your car for you, but if they do then the money is slow in coming, sometimes not at all. It is legal for them to sell your car without the logbook - you have no comeback from the law. If they sell and dissolve (again) your money is gone.

Just avoid them, I can't believe the law allows these parasites to continue to operate.

p.s. does NM Jags still advertise in Jaguar World Monthly? If so we should all ring JWM and complain that they are being complicit in innocent people being ripped off.

Anyone know what is happening at NM Jags? They are still up and trading and have just opened a new service centre in Hartcliffe way where Usedjags was. I went there today to have a nosey but the place was full of men in suits with clipboards being shown around by a guy from the also new franchise "Usedcars of Bristol". I will try to go back tomorrow and see if the same crew are operating.

What we need in Bristol is a good, honest Jaguar indie. Swallows is a bit too far away and Hartwells are too expensive for me.

Er, you've got one!

Auto Classico up at Westerleigh do pretty much nothing else! Very popular with JEC members, sorted the gearbox flush on my S with no fuss and virtually rebuilt a chums XK8.

On a different thread that I found I posted on Saturday that NM Jags have gone from the Whitchurch premises and all signage removed. There are some different cars now filling the site but so far no names. I see the website is still running and still displays their contact details unchanged. This is the fourth set of premises from which they have traded in the past few years. Regarding the above posting...it mirrors to the word the experience of a friend of mine. It took a visit to the garage with friends to get his money paid out. scratchchin

The 'new' company looks like it's folded too. So watch out for them opening up again in the near future! That is FIVE NM Jags companies folded now, I don't know how or why the las allows them to get away with it.
