This might not be a giant leap for mankind, but after 30 years of wasting thousands of hours on car websites and browsing magazines I have finally bought my first toy car. A totally unjustified purchase which is going to waste money. I have bought a 53 plate black XJ6 3.0 sport, 141k. Looks lovely. Hope to run it for a few months to see how it goes. Hopefuly it wont be straight to the scrapheap.

Snap ! Have just done the same. 2003 XJ6 SE with 85k on the clock. Quality is far superior to what I expected, and most of the gizmos work. Ride superb and interior very nice. Great value. If it does not blow itself up or have complete electrical failure then it will be a very good buy indeed. If it does have problems I suspect it will be just good-bye...

Guys, do yourself a favor and buy a warranty.. then if anything goes wrong its covered. £600 should do the trick, thats £50 a month.. not bad really!

looks very clean. almost no signs of wear from the pictures, though am sure it would need a closer inspection all cars do.
my favourite colour combo too and nice wheels. let us know how you get on with it

always read the small print very carefully if you intend buying a warranty, so you know exactly what is/ i snot covered!
