So, just bought a V6S Coupe, in Salsa. However it does not have the black pack, and I think the chrome does not look quite right. I'm thinking of getting the chrome bits professionally finished in gloss black.

Also, from my V8 Vantage research, quite a few owners would permanently open the exhaust valve by pulling a fuse, or even installing a switch. My forthcoming F does not have the driver switchable exhaust option, but has the standard active exhaust. I wonder if a mod is possible on a similar line? There is little technical knowledge in the field for this sort of thing.

I drive a Disco4 as my everyday car, and the amount of knowledge out there on software modding, upgrading, and customisation is astonishing. The F shares a lot of stuff with the D4 / RRs so I live in hope!
Sometimes, one takes a while to dislike another... smile

The chrome is a divisive trim on many colours, but on Salsa, both work. IRR however...

I am having my Salsa red F type replaced, unfortunately Salsa is now discontinued and the dealers have no samples of Caldera red which is the replacement colour, can any one offer an opinion have anyone been lucky enough to have seen this colour already?

Thanks in advance Nomal.

What? mad My car is obsolete before I pick it up? Get it a week today. I saw it yesterday at the dealer, and it looked fantastic parked next to an Italian Racing Red example. Sorry, not seen a Caldera red yet.

caldera red is on the f type configurator and defintely looks darker than the Salsa which is still on the configurator

Yes salsa there but no longer taking order in this colour, the configurator not great IMHO at giving a true likeness would rather see a metal sample or car in the flesh.

That is purely my own feeling FWIW.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman!

British racing green for me, not that I have one... or can afford one...

They look nice in any colour but for us it had to be Italian racing red. Looking on the configurator I see they have discontinued that and although I haven’t seen it the nearest seems to be spectral racing red. The IRR was a £750 option but for the SRR they want £6000! Very disappointing.

Is Firenze red there?

About 18months or so ago they changed all the jaguar colours to the same name as the Land Rover colours.

Had two now. One in Italian Racing red and one in white which I still own. The red was beautiful but the white shows its lines off better.
I like the silver smile

My wife’s XE is Firenze red, very similar but I don’t see it on the F Type configurator. It’s still available on the XE though as a £650 option.

Here’s my V6. White was the only colour I considered. Velocity AP lowering springs & 15mm spacers are this years modifications.

If anyone is after a stunning (I am biased) Italian Red V8S with a 'black pack' with very low mileage then I have just put mine up for sale in PH classifieds wink

See pics above.
