Thanks for the feedback....the protective wrap is something I'm now considering. My car was registered successfully yesterday and is sitting outside my office. lovely sunny day in Nth Herts, so will probably pop out for a run in it soon.
With regard to the car cover, I have been told that SVO are supplying bespoke covers to P7 owners, so perhaps the one I have is dealer supplied and incorrect. I've asked the question.
The bespoke cover I saw pictures of can be seen here: http://360magazine.tumblr.com/post/136972050403/ft... .... I would really recommend the wrap - my car is now registered and at Topaz in London for it, takes about a week and arrived Friday. If they are near to you, then it may be worth popping in and talking to them. They will be able to explain the whole process and show you some cars with the wrap on for you to get an idea of how invisible it is.With regard to the car cover, I have been told that SVO are supplying bespoke covers to P7 owners, so perhaps the one I have is dealer supplied and incorrect. I did 70 miles today with the roof off and the heater on full. Really enjoyed it but must admit I was constantly thinking about the wrap, especially as the bespoke paint was pretty costly. I need to resist driving the car and get it done! I've been quoted £3,800.00. Would you mind letting me know the Topaz price?

The cover I have is clearly for a standard F-type. The covers pictured are more like those I have had before, thank you.

I have emailed you details. Glad you are enjoying the car, can't wait to collect mine from Topaz this weekend.I did 70 miles today with the roof off and the heater on full. I have driven the one owned by Jaguar Heritage, I guess that's classed as a good one!
Out of all the old Jags I have driven the D-type and Mike Hailwood's E type were the best. The rest were wobbly old carts.
Anyhow back on track, 180,000 for a F type that is limited to 250 worldwide and 80 in the UK, I think that's pretty good.

If it's wobbly either it's knacked or you're pissed, they should be quite stable at anything up to about 130ish, I wouldn't know what happens after that. Out of all the old Jags I have driven the D-type and Mike Hailwood's E type were the best. The rest were wobbly old carts.
Personally I prefer the handling of XKs to E-Types, but that's just a personal view and is more to do with wanting an older fashioned classic car I guess. Each to their own.

It's an F-Type! £180k
£180k Project 7 at Lovetts sold earlier this week, approx 10 days after it was first advertised..http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/j...
Got invited to the Manchester unveiling of 2 Project 7s on Sunday. Also had a development car on site. The two customer cars were a static display behind ropes to keep the great unwashed away, despite being personally invited....did they expect us to key it?
The development car sounded very nice. However, £135k is a joke for such a car compared with the SVR or a 911.
Weight and downforce are also underwhelming compared with the competition, I thought a Jaguar was lithe and responsive...
Probably didn't help that the dealership had no electricity, the salespeople didn't mingle and the whole thing just felt low rent compared with similar events at other high end dealers. Although having been invited and received an Email from the dealer principle we weren't on the list of prospective attendees. Overall an underwhelming experience...

Not sure £135k is a joke if they are trading at £180k now.The development car sounded very nice. However, £135k is a joke for such a car compared with the SVR or a 911.
