I received my P7 5 weeks ago after a rather lengthy registration process but it was worth the wait. What a car !! I am furtunate to own a couple of sportscars ( Porsche & Aston ) and this is my first Jaguar but if the P7 is anything to go by, then it will not be my last. It is no GT3 RS equivalent track beater and voices have claimed that Jaguar should have made it more "hard-core" but i actually like the fact that it is more GT-like. The suspension set-up is superb and the way it floats over rough roads is a real revelation. Also the CC brakes are truly great. The only thing i like less is the steering set-up under Dynamic Mode. It feels to "stiff" around the center. I have now done 3000 km inkluding a trip from Copenhagen to Austria in one go and even if my ears are still rattling, 12 hours in the car felt comfortable with the seats being excellent. I drove open on the Autobahn and "yes" wind noise is present but it is part of the experience. Small niggles requiring a trip to the dealer involve a non-functining interval-wiper, a bit of trim that needs to be properly attached and a crack in one of the glass panels for the roof.
So "well done" Jaguar for producing a great car. It was a long wait but worth it ! Definetely a keeper.

Good to hear you're enjoying the car. Regarding the stiffer steering in Dynamic mode, this is changed via the infotainment screen. Turn the car on, scroll to the right from the home screen and you'll see dynamic-i. On this screen you can select my 'My set-up' and then configure all the various modes that make up dynamic to how you want. For example, I have suspension set to normal in dynamic mode because the roads can be very rough here in the UK. You could have it so everything is in dynamic mode, except for steering, by selecting 'normal' for the steering set-up. It's very easy to do, you just need to know where the dynamic-i screen is hiding!

Thank you for the advice. I did play around with the two arrows on the left and right side of the "home screen" and found the dynamic setting but haven't looked into it regarding the steering but will do so next time I am with the car. (Currently in Austria). Roads in Austria (or indeed anywhere else than here in the UK) are much smoother so you can almost leave it in dynamic mode all the time when driving. The suspension set-up and the dampening in the P7 is the real revelation of the car which sets it apart from other sports cars in my garage. Well done in providing your input to this car. Its a fine motor and turns a lot of heads wherever it goes as it is simply a good looking car without being too aggressive. (other than the sound).

I agree wth your comments on the suspension. It really is a revelation, especially the way it floats over rough British roads in "standard" setting whilst still handling better than you would believe possible. I only use "dynamic, setting when I am in full attack mode but I love the balance and greater tautness it brings. I have now done 2,400 miles and overall the car is much better than I had hoped for. I can't believe just how relaxed and usable it is and yet it's always ready, any time any place, to put a silly grin on my face. I was expecting the roof to be a worry but I have now done two long motorway journeys in torrential rain and it has been no bother at all. Well done to Harry for your input to this car - it really is an exceptional and charismatic instant classic. Definitely a keeper.

We are a couple of P7 owners that have discussed the idea of having a tonneau cover produced for the car as it would render it a lot more usable. We have talked to a trimmer but before we go ahead commissioning it, should this not be something that SVO should be offering as an option for the car ?
