Well ive done it and probably need a straight jacket but have bought what im sure is the last unregistered xkr-s gt and all I can say is OMG the car is awesome I cant believe its based on the xkrs the car feels like a go kart glued to the road, the steering gives so much feed back and the brakes are just sublime.I know what a lot of you guys think of this car and to be honest I think I agreed until I saw one in the flesh and have now driven it,The whole car is really well put together with a blemish orange peel free paintwork and all the add on parts are really trick bits from brembo carbon, recaro seating, bilstein suspension etc etc no I will probably never drive it on the track in anger but will be putting on the track next week and im sure its going to be very close to my gt3 rs was but with more comfort etc,the rs was epic but I did find the ride getting to the track a real jiggy hard ride which is superb on a track but a little wearing on most of europes roads. Will post some pictures of the beast when I have a little more time and after ive done a 1000 miles tell you if anything has fallen off,at the momenty im happy as a pig in poo thankyou jaguar for building this car and cant wait to see what else they churn out at eto/sve.See you at wilton guys come and say hello.

cheers simon

Hi Simon,

I'm glad you're pleased with your car. it was a pleasure dealing with you and it's a great car to add to your already fantastic collection.

All being well I'll probably see you at Wilton!

Dave.

Congratulations on your purchase, great choice. Perhaps you could bring it along to the XKEC Summer, Show & Shine event at Beaulieu on 9th August 2014. See http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-ral...

Thx everyone for your kind comments, photos to follow shortly the car has had a real detailing today and its looking superb so will take some pics tomorrow even though honestly I don't think pictures do it any justice you have to see it in the flesh and this is where the body mods really stand out such as the wider track etc.Would love to come to the xk day in august but that is wilton weekend im sorry but would love to come along to an event in the future.

cheers a grinning simon

Hi Simon, your car looks great and I'd look to hear how you get on with it.

I don't want to take this off topic but I'd be grateful to hear your thoughts on your XKR-S, I recall you saying that the build quality wasn't great and you mention the jiggly ride above but as they're now dropping to late £50k I'm debating whether to go for a 13/14 plate XKR or a year older XKR-S..

What a small world Andrew that makes four of these cars down south now as a friend of mine from crediton has one and so does his son and now you from my birth place somerset lovely county and miss the tranquillity of it all which sounds like it gets shattered when you take out your cars he he.Loving the car and it certainly feels special, hopefully will meet up one day.

cheers simon
ps:Fot the fear of upsetting xkr-s owners I wont comment too much on the difference but lets just say the two cars are like chalk and cheese.
