Electrical Glitch XJ40 1993

My 93 Daimler 4.0 seems to have the brake lights on all the time, when the brakes are pressed they switch off, I have have replaced the micro switch by the foot pedal but this has not changed anything and the there is no way I have crossed the wires as there is a 4 pin plug, any advice really appreciated

Best advice I can give is join xj40.com. They know them inside out & helped a lot when I had one.
