Sadly, on Friday I'll have owned this 3 weeks at the time it goes back to the dealer due to a shagged gearbox and I get my money back.
What a shame. Years ago, I had to do the same with a Citroen XM (I know, I know!) and I was gutted to say goodbye because I SO wanted it to work.

Keep the faith though, I'm on my second S type and no regrets especially with the current STR!

It's a shame indeed, but I've not let it dampen my adoration for them.

I wasn't sure what to expect as it was bought at a distance and delivered without me driving any S-Type.

I've been really impressed with it, other than the known gearbox ( and DSC warning issue...). They really do belie their outward appearance.

I'll get another in the future - the STR is very tempting, when budget and mileage allow.

This is my pride and joy. 17 years old, I've owned it for 9 years now. Quite a few tweaks carried out by Paramount Performance. Have had to some restoration on her recently including new a headlining and rust removal on the rear quarters.

That is beautiful, looks in better nick than my 2008 XKR. Easily the tidiest X100 I've ever seen!

Some beautiful cars in this thread.

Here's my contribution:

Kyanite Blue is a very rare colour yet it seems to draw universally positive comments. In a world of monochrome cars it sticks out a mile:

I waited six months to find this car. biggrin
