After a couple of weeks of ownership, finally got a couple of snaps of the new beast.

Fully kitted with all the toys, and what a car!

1964, 3.8, All synchro close ratio box, 75K miles, XJ6 rack conversion, Exported to California when 6 months old, Structurally perfect, Original sills, Floors, Jacking points etc, Needs a bit of cosmetic sprucing up now.

Bought unseen on Ebay, Very late 2.8 S1 regd May 73, Took a punt as could get back more than i paid for it in bits, Was buried in a garage for 24 years, When it turned up on the beavertail i nearly had a heart attack! Better than a zierbarted S1 i restored 25yrs ago, 95% rot free with a gorgeous interior, 3 owners who all knew each other, 59K miles, It runs sweet as, Shame its a 2.8 auto!

I also swapped an MX5 for an XJ8 and for the first few weeks just chuckled at the size difference every time I looked at it on the drive

I have managed to get some decent runs in these last few weeks and I really must do more than the 1000miles I did last year which included 250 trip home after buying it.
It really is a wonderful car with just 60k on it and very little in the last 6 years
