Nice to see a modern Jag in green. Hardly see any nowadays. And coupled with red leather, well that's just the best combination right there. Is the red as bright as the photo makes out, or has the camera just over exposed to compensate for the colour of the car?

This one belongs to a friend of mine. 1994, so it has the AJ16 version of the four litre six. Very smooth, and wears its 180,000 miles lightly. There are a couple of minor rust spots, and a bit of lacquer peel, but it's mostly pretty neat.

The photos slightly flatter the car, but on a brief acquaintance with it thus far it seems to be a good example of the type. I drove it into London early this morning, top down, and had a very pleasant run.

As for fiends, I edited my typo just as you posted. The owner is a rather devilishly hot blonde whom I know at work. The car suits her and she suits the car.

No way! She knows too many interesting east European, er..... entrepreneurs for me to risk putting photos of her up on some dodgy car forum. Think of January Jones playing Emma Frost in X Men and you will be on the right lines (except that my friend is even hotter).

Ms Jones:-

My 1999 X308 XJR bought in Feb of this year for a stupidly low price and driven daily with no problems at all - except for a seat belt warning light & the rather poor fuel consumption !

Im getting 15.6 (ish) but only drive 10-12 miles a day and all on minor roads - I did manage 22.6 average on a recent 200 mile round trip , it's just as well I didn't buy it for its fuel economy

It's been a while, but I've got my old X-Type out after 8 months in the shed. It was laid up after a brand new transfer box went noisy after 10 months' use. This time I decided to rebuild the 'box myself. So far, so good. Quite pleased smile

It also got new front springs (all 4 damper changed last year and all rear bushes done too), new wheel bearing (all others done before lay-up) and new engine oil sump gasket.

And lastly refurbished Arubas, new centre caps and wheel nuts.

I have a Mk1 MX-5 to sort with my dad then my old S-Type gets a going over too.
