Seems a few on here have made the switch - what are peoples thoughts?

I am considering moving from a 4.3 Vantage to a F Type (probably V6 S, though maybe the basic V6). How do the two compare? Does the Jag have a decent soundtrack?

I'd buy another F-Type but I doubt I'd buy another Vantage. The soundtrack is better on the Jag (with the sports exhaust switched on) as is the performance, handling and stopping. The Vantage interior is probably a little bit more special but apart from that and the badge I can't think of anything else where the Vantage has the edge over the F-Type.

Having had both a V8 and V12V, and now Jag V8R. Aston for perceived image. Jaguar for the better all round car. No contest.

Very topical for me as I have a 4.7 Vantage manual and Mrs G has just bought a Ftype V6s.... And I'd say its a really tough call. The paddle shift Jag gearbox is a delight and with sports exhaust engaged it makea a great noise although I prefer Aston sans fuse 22. The Jag is not run in yet, but have driven one on track and reckon performance is a close call... So I can only advise they are both fantastic driver's cars and don't think anyone would be disappointed going one way or the other. You'll only know your prefernce by driving both....
