I've got an SV8 and it seems to have developed a problem. It refuses to idle normally and goes from 400-1200 revs and back down again constantly. It's also cut-out a few times. Driving just now it cut-out mid corner leaving me with no steering or brakes. Has anyone had similar? Obviously I'll take it to a garage tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had similar so I know what to expect.

Cheers.

I had the same issue re:cutting out at scary monents on my X-Type 3.0 V6. Random, never solved it either.

Good luck, but try see if there is a fault code logged.

Well it turns out it was a problem with this thingy that wasn't actually broken, and the car thought it was I'll, when in fact it was fine.
The guy plugged something in, reset so etching else, and now all is good.
Shame that all brake pads were not existent, one wheel is buckled, and the front suspension does indeed need replacing.

What exactly is wrong with the front suspension Chilli?

Ah. That would be when Mrs C underestimated the severity of a speed bump. Wishbones bent, apparently. 2 grand to repair, so been putting it off for a while!
